What Is App Academy Cost and Tuition?

The cost of App Academy ranges in price from $17,000 to $36,000, depending on which course you choose (see the "Courses" section). Note that App Academy is significantly cheaper than a 4 year CS degree, which is at least 100k when including tuition plus living expenses.

What Is the App Academy Acceptance Rate?

It depends on which program you choose! Please note that the acceptance rate is counting all applications that come in, but in reality, not everyone who submits an application completes the process. The acceptance rate would likely be much higher if everyone finished the admissions process, but this is not realistic. And remember, our program is built for a career changer - we provide you with all prep materials needed to pass our admissions process.

How Can I Pay for App Academy?

You can pay App Academy tuition through several flexible payment options. Although paying upfront is possible, App Academy payment options allow students to begin paying only once they gain relevant employment in software engineering, albeit a higher tuition rate. Specifically, App Academy payment options include:

• Paying App Academy tuition upfront is the best overall money-saving option. To help students pay costs upfront, App Academy also works with Climb as a preferred loan partner.
• App Academy’s Income Share Agreement allows students to begin paying tuition once they secure a job that pays $50,000 or more. The Income Share Agreement is offered for the full-time online program, whereas the part-time online program has a deferred plan option. For the ISA, there is no deposit upfront, and the rest of the tuition is 15% of your monthly salary for 3 years capped @ 31k.
• For our deferred plan options (16-week campus & 52-week part-time online program), there is a $3k deposit upfront, and the rest of the tuition is a flat rate due only after job placement.

How Do I Apply to App Academy?

The App Academy application process features several steps. Here are the steps to apply to App Academy:

1. Submit an online application through App Academy’s website that details your personal and background information.
2. Next, complete the 25-minute non-technical assessment test that covers logical reasoning and typing.
3. You will then be asked to complete a 60-minute coding exercise. You have three opportunities to pass this portion of the App Academy admissions process. If you pass this, you’ll move onto the interview stage.
4. Complete both the technical interview which include several coding prompts and other exercises.
5. Lastly, you will need to complete a non-technical interview that helps the admissions team assess your overall readiness for the intensive coding program.

Though applicants need to pass several stages of the App Academy admissions process, the program is designed for beginners so even without coding experience you do have a chance of getting in.

How Do I Get Accepted Into App Academy?

To be accepted into App Academy, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a GED or high school diploma. No coding experience is required. App Academy wants you to succeed in the admissions process, and we provide you with all the resources needed to ace it!

What Is the App Academy Admission Process?

The App Academy admission process begins with a basic online application. You’ll then need to complete a reading and logic exercise. Applicants will also take part in a coding challenge that lasts for 60 minutes.

Successful candidates will then take part in both non-technical and technical interviews. Those who pass all stages of the admission process will be accepted into the program.

What App Academy Interview Questions Should I Expect?

Applicants take part in two App Academy interviews before joining the program. This includes technical and non-technical interviews, which are both important admissions interviews. In the technical admissions interview at App Academy, you can expect programming and coding challenges. In this interview, applicants can use programming languages like Python, Ruby, and JavaScript.

The non-technical admission interview is 25 minutes long. It is an opportunity for App Academy to get to know the applicant better. Is App Academy Hard to Get Into?

Yes, it is hard to get into App Academy because it is a highly selective bootcamp. The bootcamp has a low acceptance rate and a strict application process. However, if you do not succeed in getting in, you can try again in six months. Taking the prep course can also increase your chances.

Does App Academy Offer Prep Courses?

Does App Academy Offer Workshops?

No, App Academy does not offer workshops. However, App Academy does offer a variety of other programs for software engineering. One great low-stakes option is App Academy Open, a completely free, comprehensive curriculum that students can work through at their own pace.

App Academy Opens provides 1,500 hours of full stack curriculum to anyone who signs up. This is a no-strings-attached program that lets students develop software engineering skills with no financial burden.
